POST PROCESSING. PANORAMAS
NOW TO POST PROCESS YOUR PANORAMIC IMAGES INTO SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL.
Open Photoshop Elements or CS.
I have used Elements 9 for this tutorial.
With newer versions or CS you simply locate the same tool. All the tools are exactly the same but in a different place.
Click on 'File' then 'Open'
Find the folder containing your panoramic sections.
Select all the images by holding down 'Ctrl'
Click on 'open' and the images will load into the workspace.
Now click on 'File' then 'New' and then 'Photomerge Panorama'
In CS5 or CS6 click on 'File' then 'Automate' then 'Photomerge'
This window will open
Select 'Cylindrical' and then click on 'add open files'. Then click on 'OK'
Now the easy bit. Leave the software to perform it's witchcraft on your images. The barrel distortion and parallax errors will be corrected before the images are blended.
The end result including the layers.
Now click on 'Layer' and then 'flatten'
The layers disappear. You now have one seamless, high resolution image.
Nearly done. Now select the crop tool.
Select the area to crop by holding down the left click and then hit return or the green arrow below the image.
The image is now complete and can be edited as normal.
